Youth Pastor – J.C. Williard

Our Youth Pastor is J.C. Williard. J.C is married to Christina and they have three children. The Williards grew up in North Carolina and both came to know the Lord at an early age. Their desire to share the love of God with others led them into short-term mission trips to China, Africa and across the United States. J.C. has also served as a Bible study leader in the church and workplace. In recent years the Lord began to burden the Williards for the next generation and their need to be encouraged and trained in God’s word. JC began taking Seminary classes and praying for God’s direction in ministry. That prayer was answered in March of 2018, when the Palmer’s visited the Williard’s home church in North Carolina to share about the work in Cape Breton. The Lord made it clear he was calling them to Cape Breton. J.C. worked in the trailer industry for 14 years before moving to Cape Breton in October of 2019. The Williard’s love for the Lord and youth is evident. Their desire is to reach the youth of Inverness and the surrounding area by showing them the love and hope of God as found in Jesus Christ. J.C. is currently enrolled at Fruitland Baptist Bible College where he is taking an  Associate Degree in Religion/Christian Ministries.

Children’s Pastor – Dylan Parkhurst

The Parkhursts are from Ontario and moved to Cape Breton in May of 2019, answering God’s call to serve in Inverness. Their desire is to share the love of Christ with the people and children of Inverness and the surrounding area. In addition to leading our church’s Kid’s Club and Sunday School, Dylan is also a preacher and teacher. Dylan’s passion for children’s ministry goes back to his early teens and he spent many summers working at a Bible camp.
